Michelle Tucker has worked at CDS Monarch since November 2013. She started as an administrative assistant for Human Resources but has since become the Assistant to the President/CEO / Executive Office Manager. Michelle's daily tasks include managing the day-to-day operations of the president/CEO's office, scheduling for the president/CEO, and handling meeting coordination. Michelle also supports the board of directors and the other CDS Monarch executives in addition to supervising two other staff members.
"Michelle is kind, considerate, compassionate, and she is highly productive," CDS Monarch President/CEO Sankar Sewnauth said. "I know I can rely on her to run the office efficiently."
Ann Roller, whom Michelle supervises, said, "She does so much for everyone and truly assists with managing the Executive offices at CDS Monarch. She is so thoughtful and kind in even the most stressful situations and is always willing to lend a hand. Her leadership and guidance are always kind, to the point, and supportive."
Michelle said her favorite part about working at CDS Monarch is "being in the thick of things. I have the opportunity to be part of the changes and decisions made to ensure the agency meets our mission. I enjoy being part of the process. It's an exciting office to be part of."
In terms of advice, Michelle said, "I believe that kindness matters. At the end of the day we all want to feel that what we do and who we are matters, so I try to interact with people and be attentive and do my job well so the people we serve can feel that way.
"I view my job as a customer-service oriented job. The other staff members are my customers; the people attending the events I plan are my customers, so I try to provide the best customer service I can. I believe that everybody's job is important. Everyone's job is valuable."
In her free time, Michelle enjoys being a mom to her 9-year-old daughter, Aubrey, going to the movies, watching television with strong writing and three-dimensional characters, gardening, and spending time with her English bulldog, Winston, and her pug, Otis.
Thank you, Michelle, for all your hard work and dedication to what we do!
