Many Veterans suffer from cognitive and communication problems that significantly impair their ability to live independently with a Traumatic Brain Injury. TBIs can take a significant toll on a Veteran's communication and social skills. Many Veterans may have difficulty understanding what others are trying to communicate or have trouble expressing themselves. Sometimes TBIs impact basic skills like reading, spelling, and writing. Articulation problems and swallowing disorders can also be a result of a TBI.

Veterans who struggle with any of these issues work one on one in individualized therapy sessions with our Speech Pathologist, Rebecca Stewart, to improve his or her social communication skills. These skills are essential when it comes to living independently and successfully. We want to give our Veterans the skills they need to feel confident in every area of life!
