Leah Biggins served in the Army and came to Warrior Salute in July of 2013. She chose Warrior Salute because it offered temporary housing, 24/7 support, intensive therapy, and family services. Leah found art therapy to be especially beneficial because it was relaxing and helped her to focus on other things. She enjoyed painting and creating collage/poetry art. She also utilized massage therapy to help her deal with some chronic pain issues. Leah graduated from the program in January 2014.

Leah's future goals are to get her own apartment and she hopes to go back to school eventually and acquire her advanced nursing degree.

"Warrior Salute has helped me rebound after losing everything," said Biggins. "I found it helpful and comforting to be surrounded by other Veterans."
