Aubrey Flynn has worked with people with developmental disabilities for seven years, the past two of those at CDS Monarch. In her role as a Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC), Aubrey has gone above and beyond when it comes to advocating for the individuals on her caseload. She puts a lot of time and effort into accessing food pantries, clothing closets and prenatal supports to ensure her individuals are able to safely maintain their independence in the community. She has gone out of her way to visit individuals who have been hospitalized, and advocate for their medical needs when transitioning back home. Aubrey is a broker certified MSC and a member of the Family Support Services Audit Committee. What Aubrey enjoys the most about her job is "building relationships with people and knowing that she is making a difference for someone, especially those who may not have anyone else close to them."

"Aubrey has shown herself to be very compassionate about the individuals that she works with. During monthly customer service calls, Aubrey's individuals and families continue to give positive feedback on the services that she provides," stated Jackie Lange, Program Manager for Family Support Services.

Aubrey recommends that staff "take everything one day at a time. When you face a challenge, work at it steadily and you will accomplish what you need to."

In her free time Aubrey likes to spend time with her family and her dog. She also enjoys reading, traveling (when she can), working out and living a healthy lifestyle. Thank you Aubrey, for going above and beyond to support individuals to be more independent!
