On Sunday, September 22nd the Special Olympics Super Regional Bocce Tournament was held at the Tacolana Club in Rome, New York. There were teams from the Geneseee Region, the Central Region and the Southern Tier Region competing. CDS Monarch had five teams in the mix. The results and participants from CDS Monarch were:

Team A consisting of Kevin M. and Craig N., coached by George Vito, won a bronze medal.
Team B consisting of David P., Sumit T. and Amanda V., coached by Sharon Vito won a gold medal.
Team C consisting of Pam D., Eric J., Mike T. and Kris W., coached by Ed Basaman won a bronze medal.
Team D consisting of Chris C., Frank D., Josh M. and Deepesh T., coached by Bill Warden earned a fourth place ribbon.
Team E consisting of John B., Marc D., Steve G. and Mark H. coached by Aimee Warden won a Gold medal.

Special Olympics will start its next sport, Bowling, with practices beginning on October 6th at Fairview Lanes in Fairport.
