On Wednesday, September 11th, members of Warrior Salute joined with Team Red White and Blue to participate in a trail run in memory of fallen local heroes who passed on September 11th. The run occurred at Abraham Lincoln Park in Penfield and throughout the run the group stopped and paid homage to the fallen by reading a synopsis of their time in Rochester. There were many connections to Rochester and the 9/11 fallen, and all were honored with a moment of silence at each stopping point. Some doctors, some nurses, others accountants, and others firemen and first responders - all Rochestarians at one point in their life.

9/11 has a different meaning for all of the Veterans running, some joined before 9/11, others as a result of, and even others after, but each was able to take something from this community gathering. A BBQ was held afterwards at the Nucor house, and Team RWB was able to tour the facility, and see how the Vets live. The Warrior Salute Vets presented paracord bracelets to all participants as a thanks for including them in this incredible event. Team RWB runs weekly and provides guidance and community support for our veterans in need, and they have been an asset to Warrior Salute.
