About a year ago, CDS Monarch's Park Circle residence began holding music therapy sessions. When April S. first heard about it she told her mom and her Residence Manager that she wanted to learn to play an instrument. April decided that she would like to play the ukulele.

Over the course of the past year April has worked very hard to learn her instrument. Her teacher, Adrienne, took notice of all her hard work and talent, and placed April in two recitals at the Hochstein School of Music. The most recent recital was in May and April played the music to "Tear Drops on my Guitar" (by Taylor Swift), but she put her own twist on it. She changed all the words, including the chorus, which she fittingly sang as "Tear Drops on my Ukulele". She had a great performance and everyone at CDS Monarch is very proud of her.
