On Saturday, June 1st CDS Monarch held a Star-Spangled Shortstack Saturday pancake breakfast to raise money for the Families in Need Fund. A total of 125 people were served, and more than $1200 was raised.

To keep with the Star-Spangled theme, several service members representing various branches of the military, came in uniform to help out at the event. Red, white and blue decorations and patriotic music added to the festive atmosphere. The Greg Polisseni "Stars & Stripes" truck also made a special appearance.

Special thanks go to the Family Support Services and Wolf Foundation teams. Staff helped out with planning, selling tickets, setting up for the event and providing support on the day of the breakfast. Thank you to all of the volunteers and breakfast attendees who supported the event to help ensure that CDS Monarch can continue to assist our Families in Need.
