Ashley joined the CDS Monarch team as a Support Specialist at Atlantic Ave. four years ago, and after a year she became an Assistant Residence Manager (ARM). Two years later she transferred to Park Circle as the interim Residence Manager (RM) and did so well that after six months she was offered the RM position at Hardwood, and after that she took on Imperial as well. As the manager for two homes Ashley keeps busy with scheduling, staff oversight, paperwork, meetings, appointments and making sure the individuals needs are met. She is also currently participating in the Management Development Cohort and is involved with the agency's Wellness Committee.

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't have a desire to lend a helping hand or to make someone's day," says Ashley. "Don't look at it as just a job. Put your individuals first, learn from them, work hard to gain new skills, and then opportunities to move up will be there."

Andrew Sewnauth, Administrator for Community Living, commented that "the individuals love Ashley, she maintains excellent documentation and she is well respected by outside departments."

In her spare time Ashley likes to go shopping, listen to music, relax, and spend time with her seven nephews - especially on football Sundays.

"Thank you to my team - you make everything possible and I could not do what I do without you. It takes all of us," says Ashley. Congratulations and thank you for all you do!
