National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), is an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. The purpose of NDEAM is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities.

Here at CDS Monarch we employ a workforce of 300 disabled Americans through Unistel. This also includes our Veterans with PTSD/TBI in Warrior Salute™, so they can gain valuable vocational skills while receiving treatment - we have even employed several of them full-time upon graduation (2 currently full-time at Unistel). Unistel continues to work hard at finding work for people with disabilities in order to provide more jobs and to help address the unemployment issue among people with disabilities and Veterans.

Reflecting this year's theme, "A Strong Workforce is an Inclusive Workforce: What Can YOU Do?", CDS Monarch encourages you to consider how you can reinforce the value and talent people with disabilities add to our workplace and community. Take a moment to congratulate them on their accomplishments. And to those of you who support individuals through vocational opportunities each and every day - thank you!
