The New York State Special Olympic Fall Games were held this past weekend, October 19th and 20th, in Glens Falls, NY. CDS Monarch had 19 athletes competing with other atheletes from all across New York State.

CDS Monarch's soccer team won the 4th Place ribbon in their division. The team consisted of Marc D., Pam D., Christine E., Robert F., Eric J., Ken M., Cori P., Mike T. and Amanda V., and was coached by George Vito, Ed Basaman and Sharon Vito. The team played exceptionally, with one game even going into overtime.

Two teams represented CDS Monarch in the Bocce events. The A team won a 4th place ribbon in their division. The team was made up of John B., Maureen K., Craig N. and Kris W., and was coached by Karen Warden. The B team won the Silver Medal in their division. The team B members were Frank D., David M., Josh M. and David P., and was coached by Michelle White-Savage.

CDS Monarch had two teams in Alternate Shot Golf - Bryan S. and his Special Partner Deb Inclima earned a Gold Medal. Kevin M. and his Special Partner Jason Hildebrant earned a Silver Medal.

All in all it was a great weekend and we are extremely proud of all of the CDS Monarch athletes and coaches. Congratulations!  The final tournament of the year is approaching, for bowling, and it will be held on November 10th at Clover Lanes. Come cheer us on!
