This Saturday, September 22 the CDS Monarch Players will present their rendition of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, told through spoken word and movement, entitled "One World: Hamlet & the Rest of Us".

The performance is part of the Rochester Fringe Fest, with the CDS Monarch Players being the only troupe of actors with disabilities selected to perform this year. It is one of the troupe's goals to educate the world about the talents, skills and hearts that people with disabilities bring to the table.

In addition to the CDS Monarch Players, the cast for Hamlet includes a few friends from the community: two former students from Geva Theatre Center, a Professor Emeritus of Psychology from the University of Rochester, and the former head of Performing Arts at the JCC. Additionally, the Artistic Director at Blackfriars Theater, has been most generous with sound and lighting design, in support of the show.

The curtain lifts at 2:30pm on Saturday at Blackfriars Theater  (795 E. Main St., Rochester, NY). Tickets ($10) can be purchased online at www.rochesterfringe.com, by phone at 1-877-368-2207, or in person at the Eastman Theater Box Office (433 E. Main Street, Rochester) and Wegman's That's the Ticket locations (service desk). They are also available at Blackfriars Theater on the day of the show. We hope you can join us for this fun, family-friendly show!
