Amanda V. has been chosen by Special Olympics to represent them in the Rugged Run for Respect.

The Rugged Run for Respect is an extreme 5k obstacle course in which runners will face dirt trails, hills, water, a low crawl, a five foot wall scale, and a mud pit in addition to other difficult challenges. The race will benefit the 55,698 athletes in Special Olympics New York and will take place at Bristol Mountain on August 18th.

Amanda is very active with the CDS Monarch Special Olympics team. She competes in numerous events including track and field, snowshoeing, and soccer.
