After six months of preparation and hard work, The Nucor House is finally ready for CDS Monarch's Warrior Salute™ participants to call home. Veterans moved in on Friday July 6th and the opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 10th at 10am at the home, located at 265 Embury Road in Penfield, NY. The Nucor House is CDS Monarch's 28th residence.

"The opening of The Nucor House is a great milestone for CDS Monarch and Warrior Salute™. The collaboration with individuals and businesses from the local community have made this home a reality and we could not have done it without their support," stated Sankar Sewnauth, President/CEO of CDS Monarch, Inc. "We can all be proud to welcome our Veterans into a home that they deserve."

Hoping to expand its services and assist Veterans even more, CDS Monarch purchased this 14 bedroom home for transitioning Veterans coping with PTSD and TBI, while enrolled in Warrior Salute™. For residents of the home, there are bedrooms, a kitchen and rooms to relax in. The Nucor House will provide these participants with twenty-four hour support, as well as the warmth and sense of camaraderie and community that a home provides.

The Nucor House was purchased and completely renovated as a result of donations and volunteer labor from neighbors and businesses in the community. CDS Monarch and Warrior Salute™ would like to thank everyone who has helped to refurbish this wonderful home for our Veterans! Your tremendous support is greatly appreciated!

Warrior Salute™ provides clinical therapies and counseling, vocational rehabilitation and real life training, family support, and temporary apartment housing to Service Members in need. Many lives have been transformed for the better in the Pilot Stages of Warrior Salute™, however there are many more still in need.
