As 4th of July celebrations continue into the weekend, it is a wonderful time to celebrate the Veterans in our community and our ability to give back to them through Warrior Salute. After six months of preparation and hard work, The Nucor House is finally ready to open its doors and welcome our Veterans home! Warrior Salute participants moved in on Friday, July 6th and a Grand Opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 10th.
The Nucor House is CDS Monarch's 28th residence. Mario Mongeon, residence manager from Lonesome Road, will be working as the interim residence manager as the house gets up and running. Tom Tartaglia, Program Manager for Warrior Salute, oversees the day-to-day activities of the program. Both Tom and Mario have dedicated themselves to ensuring the successful opening of the home. Justin Mirando, Director of Residential Services, assumes management and oversight of the residence and the clinical operation is now under the supervision of Melissa Mulcahy, Executive Director of The Wolf Foundation.
The opening of The Nucor House is a great milestone for CDS Monarch and Warrior Salute. The collaborative efforts of Warrior Salute, The Wolf Foundation, the Facilities Department and the Residential Department have helped make this vision a reality. Thank you to all of the staff that worked together to make this possible.
