On April 17th, a group of individuals at Webster Creative Opportunities began a volunteer project for some furry friends at Lollypop Farm. First, they researched dog treat recipes on the internet. Then, the following day they prepared the treats during Cooking Group. Everyone had a responsibility in the process - Marcia read the recipe, while Marilyn, John, Sue, Hubert, Lorraine, Joy and Tom took turns measuring and mixing the ingredients. Then they used cookie cutters to shape the dough into hearts and put them in the oven to bake.
Later on in the week, a trip was planned to visit Lollypop Farm, and the group dropped off the dog treats for their furry canine friends at the shelter. The experience was rewarding and enjoyed by everyone involved, and they are already looking forward to making more treats, and visiting the animals again.
