This past semester there was a group of individuals in the Blended Creative Opportunities Program that decided to try fishing this summer. On Mondays and Fridays, from 9am-1pm, the group ventured out to Irondequoit Bay and North Ponds Park to enjoy some fishing. Everyone went through the process of getting their own fishing license. The group had a great time learning a variety of fishing techniques and etiquette, and why conservation is so important.

Dan S. shared about his experience as a member of the fishing group this summer. "I learned how and where to get a license, which was pretty easy. And I learned the rules of fishing. The best part about it is just getting out for the day."

Michelle L. caught the biggest fish out of the group - a 12in. small-mouth bass. Everyone had an enjoyable time and all are looking forward to going fishing again next year.
