Seven individuals from the Creative Arts Program Without Walls had the opportunity to experience music therapy instruction at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance this summer.  The individuals worked with therapists, Maria and Sarah, to learn vocal, dance, and instrumental numbers for their end of summer concert.  The concert was held on August 16th in the large performance hall at Hochstein.

During their time there the individuals also had the opportunity to work in the music lab and compose their own music.  Their original works were played along with a slideshow of pictures from their summer experience at the beginning of the program.  Jesse, from the Creative Arts Program, is pictured here composing a song in the music lab at Hochstein.

The program will continue this fall and a second group of individuals will also begin attending.  Through these experiences, and others like it, CDS individuals continue to build relationships in their community while exploring their talents.
