Morgan K., an individual enrolled in CDS' Medicaid Service Coordination program, has been named as the Northern Finger Lakes Regional Representative on the Board of the Self Advocacy Association of New York.
Morgan, who is diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, has dreamed of being able to advocate for people with disabilites since she was eight years old. Her mother Amy stated that "this has been her dream for her whole life, to help others with disabilities. It is so great to see your child living out their dreams!
Morgan's role will be to talk with legislators to advocate for the benefits and rights of people with disabilities. She was elected to this position by her peers at the Self Advocacy Association. We wish Morgan the best of luck in her newly appointed position, and continued support for achieving her personal dreams!
