On Monday, July 11th the CDS Foundation hosted the 24th Annual "Teeing Off for Abilities" Golf Tournament at Locust Hill Country Club, presented this year by Relph Benefit Advisors and the Supreme Group. This year, proceeds from the event benefited the Warrior SALUTE™ Program, which relies solely on private donations and events, such as the golf tournament, for its funding.

It was a great day out on the course! 150 golfers come out to support the CDS mission! The morning started with a flag ceremony presented by the local Army Recruiting Center and the National Anthem was sung by Alysia Groth, a local singer and Veteran. CDS individual Mark W. and CDS President/CEO Sankar Sewnauth, welcomed everyone and kicked off the shotgun start!
Participants enjoyed golf, lunch and snacks before gathering together for a dinner program. At the dinner gathering guests heard from JP of 100.5 the Drive who emceed the event, as well as Sankar, Board Chairs Mark Peterson (CDS) and Kimberly Hoffman (Foundation), along with CDS individuals Jay V. and Angel M., who talked about the SALUTE program and what it means to them. Chris J. and David K., participants from the SALUTE program, also shared their stories. Dinner included a silent auction and raffle.
The goal for this year's tournament was to raise $80,000. The CDS Foundation is proud to report that the tournament raised $87,000 for the Warrior SALUTE™ Program!
A very special thank you goes out to all of the event sponsors, committee members, volunteers, staff and Board Members who supported the event by golfing and volunteering. You have all made a tremendous difference in the lives of Veterans.
