Individuals from CDS' Blended Creative Opportunities program are helping out tornado victims in Alabama by collecting items to help with the recovery. Individuals also held a 50/50 raffle, to raise money to purchase additional supplies needed. The people affected by the tornadoes are in need of items such as: toiletries, non-perishable foods, clothing, first aid supplies, cleaning supplies and household items. Donations can be dropped off at the Wolf Life Transitions Center, 860 Hard Road in Webster.
A volunteer has contacted CDS, offering to pick up the donated items and trailer them down to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. All items will be packed up in a trailer that can tow up to 10,000 pounds! The individuals from CDS will be loading the trailer on May 24th, 2011. The trailer will then be leaving May 25th late in the day to take the items to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
